The story behind gspawn.net

The idea for gspawn.net came to me over a year and a half ago. I kept spinning up game servers for friends — manually, every time — and thought: there has to be a better way to do this.

I'm a DevOps engineer by trade. Infrastructure, automation, containers — that's my day job. But outside of work, I play games with friends. It felt natural to combine the two and build something of my own: a platform that makes it dead simple to spin up a game server without knowing anything about servers.

gspawn.net is that project. It's a side project I've been building in my spare time — not backed by a company, not funded by investors. Just me, a bunch of Hetzner VMs, and too many hours spent on Pterodactyl configs.

It's currently in open beta and free to use. If you run into issues or have ideas, drop by the Discord — I read everything.
